Ms Caitlin’s School Location to Open in Lititz, Pennsylvania

6/15/2025

I am thrilled to announce that Ms Caitlin’s School is opening a new branch in Lititz, PA (just north of Lancaster, PA)!

Questions you might be asking!
  • When do classes start in Lititz? Classes start in July! We’re starting off with a more limited offering in Lititiz for sanity sake, but we’ll expand those offerings as we are able. Please keep checking the schedule!

  • Where exactly is the new location? 130 Rodney Lane, Lititz, PA, 17543
It’s a really amazing space – much more spacious, available parking, room to grow, and LOADS of amazing art.

  • Will you still be offering classes in Frederick? Yes. For the immediate future, my teaching schedule won’t change all that much. My apprentice, Sophia, will gradually take on teaching more classes in Frederick in the Autumn. And we'll gradually expand the docket of teachers.

  • How do I sign up for Lititz classes? When you navigate to https://mscaitlinsschool.com and click “Book Now”, you will get to select your location.

  • What kinds of classes will you be offering there? For the first month, just the hook class. But as we go, we’ll expand the offerings. I have some VERY exciting ideas in mind!

  • Is the new space bigger / better / different in any way? The new space is substantially larger and is laid out better for larger classes. Parking is a LOT easier – there’s a dedicated parking lot.

  • Will you be offering the same beginner classes or new advanced ones? Eventually, I will be offering both the same classes and some more advanced classes in blacksmithing, AND some other new classes that aren’t just metal-working (e.g. broom-making).

  • Why Lititz? Why now? In May of 2023, I fell in love with Matthew Leavell. He’s a metal artist who lives in Lititz, PA.(http://matthewjleavell.com) For the last two years, I’ve been traveling back and forth between the two cities, building a beautiful life in Lititz with Matt while still teaching in my beloved Frederick. Splitting my time has worked remarkably well, but I want more time with my sweetheart – making art together, building our businesses together, and spend a bit less time trying to figure out which state I left my hoodie in.

  • What does this mean for the future of the school? For me, this is a way to root even more deeply into the work I love and share it with more people. I’m excited to see how the school evolves as I step into this new phase, and I hope it means more space for creativity, collaboration, and joyful learning for everyone involved.

  • How can I support this expansion? Honestly, just being part of this community is already a huge support. But if you’re excited about this next chapter and want to help bring it to life, here are a few wonderful ways:
    • Give directly through my Buy Me a Coffee page — every bit helps as I outfit the new shop and work to buy the building!
    • Sign up for a class (or send someone you love!)
    • Spread the word — tell your friends, share a post, or just cheer from the sidelines
    • Reach out if you’ve got ideas, connections, or creative collaborations in mind
This school has always grown through curiosity, kindness, and community — and I’d love to grow with you.

  • Are you hiring / looking for volunteers / looking for collaborators? Very likely, yes. But please be patient -- there's a lot to manage and it may take some time to get back to you.

  • Will you be hosting events, open houses, or celebrations? Yes! We’re hoping to have an Open House in Lititz sometime in the next 3-4 months. We’ll announce on social media, on our blog, and in the newsletter.

  • Will you be selling tools, merch, or gift cards for the new location? Gift cards will work in both locations. Tools and merch are not yet available.

  • Will there be new equipment or specialty tools in the Lititz shop? There’s plenty of room for some very exciting tools (like power hammers!), but for now the focus is on getting the Lititz location up to par with Frederick. We're boot-strapping the whole thing, so every dollar counts.

  • Are there any classes that are only available at the Lititz location? Eventually, yes. We’re very excited about the possibilities.

  • Will your apprentices or other teachers be involved in the new space? Eventually, yes. And we hope to take on more apprentices and teachers in the new space.
